About ICAN of the Upstate

ICAN of the Upstate is the local chapter of  the International Cesarean Awareness Network that serves the upstate South Carolina region. We promote evidence based information regarding pregnancy, birth and VBAC as well as offer emotional and educational support.

Mission Statement
The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
